Nourish Your Hair With 5 Avocado Oil & Hair Mask

Avocado can do so much more than just sit on your nachos. Here are 5 DIY avocado hair masks that will give you great hair!

Protect your hair from the harsh winds of winter this season by using an avocado hair mask. This versatile fruit not only nourishes your hair, but also prevents breakages, dullness, and promotes hair growth.Here’s how you can use it:

1. Avocado and Banana Mask to get rid of Dull Hair:

  • Chuck a banana and avocado pulp into a blender and mix until they form a nice thick paste.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil (depending on the amount of paste you end up with).
  • Spread this mask from the roots of your hair to the tip until all your hair is covered.
  • Leave the mixture on for about 20 minutes and rinse of with a mild shampoo.

2. Avocado and Honey Hair Mask for Dry, Damaged Hair:

Honey has a ton of moisturizing properties that work wonders for your skin and hair.

  • Blend a cup of honey, avocado pulp, and olive oil until you get a thick paste.
  • If you’ve got dandruff, you can also add a few drops of lavender oil to the mixture.
  • Apply this generously on damp hair, especially towards the tips as this is where dry hair and damage shows itself the most.
  • You can even massage this into your scalp.
  • Leave it on for half an hour before shampooing if off.

3. Avocado and Oatmeal Mask for Itchy Scalp:

  • Grind oatmeal, avocado paste and milk into a blender and add olive oil to bind the paste together.
  • Apply this on your hair from the roots to the tips.
  • Rinse off.

4. Use This Avocado, Aloe Vera and Lemon Mask for Oily Hair:

If you’re using this mask, you might as well take a picture of your oily hair as you’ll never see it again!

  • Squeeze a lemon, aloe vera, honey, avocado pulp, and coconut oil into a blender and mix well.
  • Apply this after you’ve shampooed your hair as it works as a conditioner.
  • Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it with cold water.

5. Avocado and Egg Yolk Hair Mask for Long, Lustrous Hair:

  • Plop in an egg yolk and avocado pulp into a blender.
  • Mix until it forms a thick paste and apply.
  • Leave it on for 20 minutes before shampooing it off with cold water.
